Easy smooth and creamy mashed potatoes with your Instant pot-no drain
Make this delicious easy smooth and creamy mashed potatoes with you instant pot. You do not even have to drain the water. Ingredients: 7-8 medium sized Russet potatoes ½ brick of cream cheese 1 tsp salt – ½ cup of milk ( I used 2 % milk ) ¼ C of unsalted butter at room temperature ¾ cup of water Add salt to taste Optional- Add dollops of butter and freshly grated Parmesan cheese for extra flavour. Peel and wash your potatoes, cut into slices and then quarters or halves. Add the potatoes to your instant pot. Set on manual 16 minutes. Once it is done, you can release the pressure or let it release on its own. Open the lid, let as much steam out as possible,- if your pot has a lot of water, drain it. add the cream cheese, butter and more salt to taste. Mash it with potato masher until your desired consistency. I like to add freshly grated parmesan cheese and extra butter on top.
